I only have a few stipulations to blocking. One is that if our lives will never connect and I am not feeling any closer to the person and a few years pass with it being a meaningless connection then I feel its better to just stop right there. No hard feelings but I dont want to fool myself into thinking there is a deeper thing than nothing.

The second reason would be if an ex girlfriend or guys wife that I didnt know about starts to attack me. Its a shame but this has happened to me before and after a few explanations to both the guy and the wifee/girlfriend that I didnt want to be part of the threesome anymore I decided it best to just BLOCK the insanity.

My third reason is if the person is giving away too much information on thier facebook. If I see that they could get into trouble legally or fired from the job based on what I know then I would rather just cut the connection and if they want to ask I will explain but I do not feel that I have the right to tell them to clean up thier act. I am not someones mother, they will get one warning shot and then I will have to end it. (Yes there are people who dont want to be told to not put photos of them drinking or having sexual encounters on their face pages!) I also dont need 400+ friends, if it happens it happens but I am amazed that people can handle the 500 friends they snag through facebook. They have gotta be tired as H E double hockey sticks. Except for my niece, she is in the movie/arts buisness, having alot of friends is necessary, but incredibly HARD. I hope this helps to explain some good reasons for going there that dont necessarily mean "hate" of the other person.
