After graduating from the University of Iowa, she moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she spent several years as sex & relationships columnist at alternative newsmag CURRENT. Before moving to brighter lights, bigger city, she also co-created a literary journal called Zeugma and founded The Purity Girls’ School of Burlesque (true story).
